What do I need to get started?
1) Microsoft FrontPage is one
easiest software programs for a beginner to use to actually create web content.
Cost $175-$200 for full version.
2) A "domain name" that may be
similar to www.babyfinds.com the
cost is usually included in the price of your "web hosting" package (see item 3
below). Otherwise you may pay up to $35 per year for a domain name registration
and/or renewal thereafter.
3) Next you will need a "web
hosting" company. There are many web hosting companies to choose from! Typically
you will pay $10 per month. If you pay one year of web hosting in advance you
may receive your domain name for free. Total cost of domain name and web hosting
therefore should be approximately $120-$155 per year. If you need a more
elaborate website you may pay more for hosting.
4) If you need a shopping cart.
Click on the following link to get started. PayPal is a FREE shopping cart and
you can accept credit cards without paying a monthly fee! You pay per
transaction.
5) If you want to accept other forms
